Leadership team is a
group of committed students, grades 9—12, who work to
positively change the culture of their school and community
through acts of community service and good citizenship.
School projects
include: litter patrol; landscaping;
Big Brothers/Big Sisters;
National Gun Violence Prevention; Red Ribbon Week; Prom Promise;
summer bridge; orientation; Brotherhood Month Programming;
annual school wide peace projects; etc.
Neighborhood
projects include: partnering youth and seniors at local nursing
homes; Make A Difference Day activities; voter registration;
school levy campaign work; canned food drives for social service
agencies; elementary mentoring programs; recycling; and so
on.
Community at Large
projects include: work with the American Heart Association;
March of Dimes; United Way; STAND; Center for Peace and
Education, Ronald McDonald House and others.
Over the years, the
Leadership Team has won many prestigious awards including The
Lighthouse Vision Award for Community Service. This year, the
group won the Inclusion Award, given by the Inclusion Network of
Greater Cincinnati to groups that are open to a diverse
population. The group is also building a Habitat for Humanity
House and six members have been awarded the Presidential Student
Service Award for completing over 100 hours of community service
